At the invitation of Prof. WANG Qingqing, Dean of School of Basic Medical Sciences, Zhejiang University(ZJU), 15 scholars from Mechanobiology Institute, National University of Singapore (NUS) , and Department of Biological Sciences, NUS, gathered with several scholars from School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Zhejiang University(ZJU), and School of Basic Medical Sciences, ZJU, in Zijingang Campus, ZJU, on March 29, 2019. The scholars from NUS and ZJU gave a series of talks on Biomedical Sciences and the theme of the talks was Mechanomedicine. The speakers shared the latest scientific research achievements in the field of biomedical science. Over a hundred of teachers and students attended the lectures.

The opening ceremony of the series of lectures was presided over by Prof. ZHOU Yiting, Assistant Dean of School of Basic Medical Sciences, ZJU. Prof. KE Yuehai, Vice Dean of the SCI-TECH Academy, ZJU, and Vice Dean of School of Medicine, ZJU, Prof. YU Hao, Provost's Chair Professor of NUS, and Head of Department of Biological Science, NUS, Prof. WANG Di, Vice Dean of School of Basic Medical Sciences, ZJU, and Prof. YING Songmin, Vice Dean of Chu Kochen Honors College, ZJU made the opening address.

The two-day series of lectures, including 1 keynote speech and 17 academic talks, discussed the frontier scientific issues in the field of basic medicine and biomechanics in depth. Prof. Michael Sheetz, Director of Mechanobiology Institute, NUS, and the most outstanding scientist in the field of biomechanics around the world, gave a keynote speech, which was also a lecture of Xinglin Forum. The citation of Prof. Sheetz’s papers is over 50,000 times and the H-factor is 118. For Prof. Sheetz's outstanding contribution to biomedical research, he has won a series of honors including the Rask Prize, which is called the "Nobel Windscape". After the lecture, Professor ZHOU Yiting presented Prof. Sheetz with a memorial card for the speaker of Xinglin Forum.
