Hongwei Ouyang, Professor of Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering and dean of School of Basic Medical Sciences, was invited to deliver a lecture entitled “Growth flies, upwards youth” on 25th April, 2013. The lecture on the subject of Chinese Dream was held in Room 205, Administrative Building of School of Medicine. Teachers and students from Faculty of Medicine arrived in abundance for this lecture.
In his address, Prof. Hongwei Ouyang initially introduced his views about Chinese Dream, of which the main line is his unique educational background. Then he dwelt on three aspects, how to feel happy, how to reach one’s prime and his understandings of experience of growing up. He particularly emphasized the importance of dream by expressing No dream, No future. The splendid lecture was of great significance for education, arising warm atmosphere in interaction session by asking questions by audience such as how to improve oneself, what to do for getting over sluggishness and so on.
The lecture was really beneficial, which not only served as a good platform for communication but also enlarged the horizon of all participants by directing ways of enhancing oneself and pursuing ideals. Meanwhile, Party members of CPC, School of Basic Medical Sciences attended the lecture as a regular Party meeting, leading to a broader connotation of this lecture.
