On September 22nd, the first global conference of International Combined Meeting of Orthopaedic Research Societies (2016ICORS) was held in Xi’an, attracting 749 representatives from 32 different countries (including China). During the 3-day academic discussions, Ouyang Hongwei research group won a great number of recognitions and encouragements: Professor Ouyang Hongwei was conferred the title of "Association of International Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies”, while Doctor Zhang Can, Yu Dongsheng acquired both “Best Poster Recognition Awards” and “Best Poster Awards”.
Simultaneously on September 24th-27th in Sorrento, Italy, the 13th world congress of the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS) was held. Since its establishment in 1997, ICRS has scheduled meetings every two years and successfully gathered over 1300 members from 66 countries. The 2016 ICRS was the largest world congress of unprecedented scale and submissions, including topics covering clinical concerns and basic researches. Doctor Chen Yishan was honored as "Magna Cum Laude", which was the third consecutive commendations for Ouyang Hongwei group in ICRS world congress.
